Creeping Buttercup
Ranunculus repens

MN Native Plant

Spotted compound leaves form rosettes quickly filling in to form a fairly thick groundcover spreading by runners that reroot along nodes. Tolerant of many soils and pH, preferring moist woodland soil but can be used at the edge of ponds and streams as well. Delicate 5-petaled bright yellow flowers appear in late spring. Great for containers and areas where it can be kept under control.
