Native to the coastal plains of the south from Virginia to Texas, this mat-forming creeping groundcover has small glossy leaves and 5-petal small pinkish white flowers that will bloom continuously. A perennial in the south, consider this an annual here. Like other annual bacopas, it can also grow well in containers and well-watered hanging baskets, but will tolerated light salt and submerged conditions. Excellent choice for bog filtration, or to cover up rock edges along the pond or stream. Also known as Herb-of-Grace for its medicinal digestive and respiratory properties.
