What’s New and Exciting in Plants in 2025

Presenters:  Edith Renick, Landscape Designer AND Allison Lackey, Landscape Designer

Edith’s love of horticulture started with a seasonal job at a Bachman’s retail location. She deliberately moved from watering and stocking plants to completing a master’s degree in horticulture with an emphasis in landscape design and construction. In her 10 years of designing and installing landscapes, she has gained mastery of the design and build process. Her range of experience in the field ensures a satisfying client experience from start to finish. Edith is an MNLA certified professional as well as having certification from the Borgert Paver installation institute. She resides in a lively and close-knit South Minneapolis neighborhood where she cultivates a monarch habitat and personal oasis in her own backyard.
Allison specializes in implementing landscapes with a positive environmental impact for both residential and commercial properties and has a well-rounded understanding of best solutions for each unique landscape. She strives to create meaningful and personalized spaces that connect her clients with the outdoors. Her background in horticulture, design, and customer service helps her meet her clients’ landscape needs. With a degree in Horticulture from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Allison has experience in greenhouse management, interior landscaping, and garden maintenance. She brings her passion for gardening and design home with her and tends to her own garden of edibles and unique plants.
