Water Petunia, Blue Bell
Ruellia Brittoniana ‘Blue Bell’

A shrubby perennial with a profusion of petunia-like vibrant lavender-blue flowers. A long bloom season from mid-summer to fall, it is a perennial in the south, but treat like an annual here, or bring it inside in a pot for the winter. Tough as nails, this plant is resilient and can endure various conditions including heat, drought, humidity, and occasional submersion in water. Happier with crowns slightly above water, it also grows well in the desert southwest in the ground. Narrow lance-shaped leaves stay dark green in the hottest sun and temperatures
