Blue-eyed Grass Prairie
Sisyrinchium campestre
Native to mid-southern MN, the Blue-Eyed Grass is actually an iris relative. Blooms early before many others, and a great early pollinator. Tons of periwinkle blue flowers on a short iris-like clump of sword-like leaves. Prefers more sun and a little drier than the Mountain variety. Great for a path edge.
