Spatterdock
Nuphar advena
We finally found a Wisconsin source for this native lake plant! Also known as yellow pond lily. Large heart-shaped lily-like leaves float on the water’s surface or stand slightly above, with flowers held above water like tennis balls on a stick: strong yellow petals formed into a tight cup. Not as large and spreading like the native waterlily, and prefers shallower water 1-3’ deep. Good sized bare root tubers.
Size: 3 foot spread
