Arrowhead, Broadleaf
Sagittarius latifolia
The classic deeply-lobed heart-shaped leaves give this Minnesota Native its “Arrowhead” name. Sometimes called “duck potato” because the edible tubers are a favorite food for waterfowl and aquatic mammals. A spray of small white flowers adds spring beauty. While it can handle full sun, it does better in cooler water and part sun. Can be planted in natural waterways.
