General Meeting January 12, 2:00-4:00 pm at Bachman’s on Lyndale Ave.  Presentation: “What it means to be an Aquatic Veterinarian” by Dr. Amy Kizer

Dr. Amy Kizer is a certified aquatic veterinarian with over 20 years of experience working with fish and aquatic animals.   She will be presenting on what it means to be an aquatic veterinarian and how it is similar and different from working with other animals.  We will go over interesting cases, talk about fish disease, and how to treat these incredible animals.

Dr. Kizer graduated in 2002 from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to her work at Lexington Pet Clinic, Dr. Kizer is also the staff veterinarian for Sea Life Aquarium in the Mall of America. She is a sought-out speaker in exotic and aquatic animal medicine and is an instructor at the University of Minnesota in non-traditional pets. She resides in Savage with her family which includes three children, one dog, and a very patient husband!
